ScreenBean adds digital signage functions to wireless display solution

ScreenBeam Inc., a wireless and collaboration solutions provider, has updated its firmware for its ScreenBeam 1100 wireless screen mirror device to support digital signage. End users can stream digital signage content when the device is not in use for collaboration, according to a press release.

The device can play HTML5, WebGL, Video Webm, Video H264 or Video MP4 content in fullscreen or framed mode with the update. The update also supports video streaming from a Youtube app or Safari browser.

"We are always working on ways to better enhance the use of our ScreenBeam solutions for our customers," Mike Ehlenberger, VP and general manager of ScreenBeam, said in the release. "By adding this digital signage capability, they will be able to create more personalized, impactful meeting spaces for their employees and guests."
