School district adds digital signage to curriculum

November 20, 2013

Five schools in the Fort Mill (S.C.) School District have deployed digital signage powered by Hypersign digital signage software, according to an announcement from Hypersign.

A total of 19 displays and signage players were installed across the campuses of Fort Mill High School, Fort Mill Elementary School, Nation Ford High School, Gold Hill Elementary and Springfield Middle School.

Donna Vidt, a technical assistant at Gold Hill Elementary, said the digital signage "has been a great addition" to the school.

"At first we were unsure if we would be able to make the signs work, and if we could, how would they benefit us," she said in the announcement. "We were provided wonderful training, and the Hypersigns are very user friendly. As for benefits, we use our signs for school announcements, educational information and to market PTA events. As a bonus, because you can personalize each sign, they also help create a friendly welcoming atmosphere. We can't imagine not having them."
