The location-based media company Scala will showcase transportation, retail and digital out-of-home solutions during next week's fifth annual NEC Display Solutions Showcase in London.
According to a news release, in the retail zone Scala will showcase its intelligent point-of-sale signage, which is designed to enhance the shopping experience with targeted applications driven by audience measurement. That zone will also include a Scala-driven way-finding application integrated with six-point touch from M-tech running on an NEC X551S, along with Scala's Fling application, which allows users to "throw" content from a tablet/mobile device onto a screen with a swipe of a finger.
In the transportation zone, Scala, driving content from Pixel Inspiration, will utilize a 55-inch NEC P552 with touch interaction to demonstrate a typical airport digital signage solution for way-finding applications, the release said. Also in the transportation zone, Scala will be displayed on a 42-inch NEC V422 within an IP54 rated cabinet, which offers a semi-waterproof signage display solution provided by Peerless.
And in the digital out-of-home zone, Scala will exhibit a solution with content from Pixel Inspiration that showcases NEC's new value series 80-inch V801, mounted on a Unicol trolley and showing signage, an IPTV feed from Exterity, Twitter feeds and live announcements.
The May 16 showcase, at the Tobacco Dock in East London, presents the latest advances in display technology across key vertical sectors, according to a news release, and provides a forum for end users, value-added integrators and solutions providers.
