Scala upgrades core digital signage platform

Scala, a Stratacache company, recently released Scala Enterprise 11.05, an update to its core digital signage platform. This upgrade comes with more than 115 improvements to the Scala Enterprise Content Manager, Scala Enterprise Designer and Scala Enterprise Player, according to a press release.

Scala added an alternate list method to the content manager as well as a new license management section. The content manager's HTTPS connectors can now also use OpenSSL certificates, which offer better encryption and decryption using Apache Portable Runtime. Other features include:

• Scala Designer comes with seven new commands for message creation such as click-and-drag functionality.
• General bug fixes for Scala Designer.
• Scala Player can now remotely install Microsoft updates.
