Scala updates digital signage platform with bolstered security

Scala has updated its digital signage platform Scala Enterprise to version 11.07. This update enables authentication with single-sign-on and stricter policies for secure password enforcement, according to a press release.

Version 11.07 also comes with support for MSSQL 2016 and third-party security updates for Scala's Content Manager. Other features of the update include:

• Password policies such as required length, strength and duration.
• IP whitelists for trusted IP addresses.
• Enhanced Workgroup settings for security and compliance.

"Scala has progressively put security at the forefront of our priorities, which is evident with the release of Scala Enterprise 11.07," Joe Sullivan, COO, Scala, said in the release. "Globally, we have an increased focus on security related features. We're taking actions to be proactive in mitigating vulnerability, safeguarding products and systems, and increasing security measures across the board."
