Scala releases Designer Cloud for digital signage

Scala has released Scala Designer Cloud, a web-based composition and design tool for creating digital signage content. The tool is native to Scala Enterprise 12, which allows users to publish projects to software-as-a-service Content Manager for scheduling and playback on Scala media players running on Linux or Windows, according to a press release.

With the tool, customers can use assets from third-party design platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite. Other features include:

• Native HTML5+ support.
• Drag and drop.
• Template availability.
• Reusable widgets and vectors.
• Shareable previews.
