Scala announces record sales and profitability for 2007
January 15, 2008
EXTON, Pa. — Scala Inc., a provider of end-to-end digital signage software, has announced record sales for its financial year ending December 31, 2007.
"In 2007 we achieved yet another new annual sales record with CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) exceeding 52 percent over the past two years alone," said Gerard Bucas, Scala chief executive. "EBITDA (profitability) rose at an even higher rate. These results are especially satisfying as they are indicative of the strong acceptance in the market of our new Info Channel 5 product line launched just over a year ago."
The company remains focused on providing end-to-end software solutions for centrally controlled digital signage networks used in a variety of customer- and employee-facing applications deployed in retail, banking, quick-service restaurants, gas stations, public spaces (airports, shopping malls, etc), hospitality and entertainment venues (theaters, amusement parks, casinos, etc.), convention centers, etc. The Scala InfoChannel supports both interactive (e.g.: kiosks, touchscreens, etc.) and passive playback of content, which can be delivered across satellite or terrestrial (wired or wireless) broadband communication networks.
Mr. Bucas goes on to say, "While most of our competitors are still struggling to survive and reach profitability, over the past 20 years we have assembled an unbeatable global team of both employees and partners that are the most experienced and passionate in our industry — all sharply focused on allowing our customers to deploy and control their own digital signage networks around the world."
