Samsung remains the leader in worldwide digital signage, with a 33.9 percent market share, according to a report by International Data Corp., which also indicates that shipments of digital signage increased 10 percent from Q1 to Q2.
LG Electronics, Goodview and NEC also claim significant market share, at 8.5, 8.0 and 7.4 percent, respectively.
IDC expects that 3.5 million digital signage units will ship worldwide by the end of 2018, an increase of 11.9 percent over 2017. Other key findings in the report include:
