SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. — MediaTile announced the successful deployment of the first facility-wide cellular-based digital signage network for Rolls-Royce Corp. in Indianapolis. The MediaTile all-in-one, cellular digital signage system required no IT resources to "network" two million-square-foot facilities and satellite offices where the signs were deployed.
"The need to communicate with employees who may not have easy access to computers and email has always been a challenge at our site in Indianapolis," said John Gallo, vice president, business operations for Rolls-Royce. "The beauty of the MediaTile system is that it allows us to supply real-time, useful information to our employees using state-of-the-art technology. There was a bit of a ‘wow' factor when high-definition monitors were being installed throughout the site, followed by a general appreciation for the information being supplied. Rolls-Royce is excited the possibilities this new system has introduced."
MediaTile displays are individually or collectively controlled using the MediaTile Broadcast Portal – a hosted, Web-based application that eliminates the need for customers to license, download or configure any software or servers to control their virtual broadcast network. The MediaTile Broadcast Portal is a secure, hosted application that is accessible from any standard Web browser.
The MediaTile system gives the corporate communications department a whole new way to communicate and connect with its employees. In addition to the lobby deployments, the 32-inch all-in-one MediaTile displays are deployed in all break rooms across five locations in Indianapolis. The broadcast network highlights company news, announcements, charitable events, recent awards and recognitions, policies and procedures and visiting dignitaries. The network can also play video clips for training and educational series.
