RidgeLogic Development, the developer of the SceneStudio suite of multimedia presentation solutions, today announced a major update of SceneStudio Pro, with the addition of transition effects, support for interactivity and the upgrade of the playback engine to Microsoft's Windows Presentation Foundation.
SceneStudio Pro, a premises-based digital signage application optimized for use in a single location, continues to add new features to improve the quality of the playback experience, according to a company release. The application now supports ten transition effects for image and text regions that add a great level of sophistication to presentations. The addition of interactivity means SceneStudio Pro can now operate with a touchscreen display, providing an economical, standalone platform for the development of kiosk solutions.
Upgrading the playback engine to Microsoft WPF means more complex animations can be played back without taxing the system resources of the media player. In extreme cases where system resources are highly utilized, the playback engine is able to reclaim resources so playback continues uninterrupted.
Free upgrades are available to end-users covered by software maintenance and to RidgeLogic Select Reseller Partners for their demonstration equipment. End-users not covered by software maintenance can contact their reseller to sign up for coverage so they can upgrade to the latest release.
