Renewed Vision recently provided media server, software and display control systems for the Christian music concert Winter Jam, which ran from Jan. 12 through March 31 across the U.S.
The company had to manage videos, lyric videos and camera feeds on four double-sided LED displays in portrait mode above the main stage, according to a press release.
To meet Winter Jam's needs, Renewed Vision supplied its PVP3 media serer and screen controls system, Vision ProPresenter Software, VideoDust real-time effects software by Thunderjacks and Elgato StreamDeck Controllers.
The PVP3 helped push content to each of the display's independent video signal with low latency. The software pushed out song lyrics and dynamic lower thirds, as well as supplying lyrics on monitors for the bands. Managers also used StreamDeck Control Panels to shuffle between raw feeds and manipulated visuals through VideoDust.
"The biggest advantage to using PVP3 and ProPresenter is that they are designed to work seamlessly together in this type of mission-critical live multimedia display application," Matt Walden, freelance graphics producer, said in the release. "For example, when lyrics are transferred over NDI from ProPresenter into PVP3, the media server recognizes the lyrics along with their corresponding alpha channels. There is no need to key-out black on my end, which provides a broadcast quality key much more easily."
