Rave Mobile Safety, a public safety and emergency alert solutions provider, has announced its Rave Alert platform now covers almost half of the higher education student population in the U.S. The Rave Alert platform allows campuses to push emergency notifications to digital signage, mobile devices and any other internet-connected devices, according to a press release.
Schools such as the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, the University of Illinois in Chicago and Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire have deployed the platform. Rave pushes out more than a billion messages per year to colleges across the U.S.
"The university utilizes the Rave platform to deliver a coordinated and integrated approach to issue more than 83,000+ timely warning notices to the campus community," David Ibrahim, assistant vice chancellor for administrative services, University of Illinois, said in the release. "It's important to maintain the campus’ trust and cooperation using a unified communications strategy throughout the incident as we prepare for new, unforeseen risks."
