PureLink, Savant partner on 4K video

August 23, 2016

PureLink, a provider of HD video connectivity solutions, and Savant, which provides premium home automation to luxury homes, castles and yachts, have partnered to offer residential customers professional quality 4K video matrix switchers. The partnership makes the same grade ultra high-definition video switcher equipment used by PureLink's mission-critical government, military, health care and financial industry clients available to Savant's customer base, according to a press release from PureLink.

Both the PureLink UX-8800 and UX-4400 4K HDMI switchers support HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0b. A SmartHost Premium license is included with each switch. Also coming soon is PureLink's HCE II extender, an HDMI over HDBaseT transmitter and receiver package that transmits 4K up to 70 meters over a single CAT cable, the release said.

"Savant's expertise in the home control and automation space is second to none," said Howard Schilling, PureLink's director of sales. "We are delighted to partner with them and bring their customers the same high-quality innovative designs used by our most demanding commercial clientele."

"Savant tested several recognized video switches in the residential custom market, but found that commercial grade PureLink switches were the best option for our customers," said Tim McInerney, director of product marketing for Savant. "PureLink's technology expertise ensures we continue providing the premier home automation experience and award-winning technology that Savant has built over the years."
