At this year's Digital Signage Expo, Insight Media University and a series of special guests are scheduled to present an all-day 3D workshop titled "Glasses-free 3D Digital Signage – The Complete Guide to a Successful Experience" at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, the day prior to the opening of DSE13.
According to the announcement from Insight Media University and DSE, the workshop will cover a wide range of what there is to know about glasses-free digital signage, including the displays, creation of the content, configuring and integrating the entire solution, and understanding which applications, venues and business models are best suited for this opportunity. This workshop is aimed at anyone interested in the 3D market and will provide information from a number of different perspectives. It is a comprehensive workshop of all the aspects of successful glasses-free 3D solutions.
The workshop is organized into four 90-minute modules. Participants can attend any or all of them, depending on their focus and interest level.
Attendees will gain the skills to understand the technology behind glasses-free 3D digital signage, the methods to assemble a successful solution, and the business opportunities that can and should be addressed, the announcement said.
The modules are "Glasses-Free Digital Signage: Ready for Prime Time?" presented by Pia Mafei, CCO of Alioscopy; "Glasses-Free Digital Signage Displays," by Maarten Tobias, CEO, Dimenco; "Glasses-Free 3D Content Creation," by Tom Zerega, CEO, Magnetic 3D; and "Glasses-Free Digital Signage System Integration," by Mike Egan, president and CEO, Exceptional 3D.
