Praevar, BrightSign partner to embed digital signage technology inside outdoor-rated displays

BrightSign has partnered with Praevar, a manufacturer of intelligent outdoor displays and kiosks, to embed BrightSign technology into outdoor and semi-outdoor digital signage and DOOH displays, according to a press release.

The deal includes plans to put BrightSign's System-on-a-Chip solution, BrightSign Built-In, with Praevar's commercial-grade displays, including the high-brightness Placard and Podium series displays.

"Many smaller retail operators order large displays in enclosures for store advertising, but when they unbox and power them on, the screen shows a technical message about the operating system," Ralph Idems, CEO at Praevar Corporation, said in the release. "Without digital signage experience, these retailers don't know what to do next.

"Our collaboration with BrightSign solves this challenge by giving them a ready-to-go solution that's easy to learn and operate. Powered by BrightSignOS, the solution is reliable and secure, providing a dependable platform to drive sales traffic and improve shopper experiences."
