PixelFlex and iWeiss are partnering on a suspended, interactive LED sculpture that will be installed at the Milken Institute's Washington, DC headquarters.

PixelFlex is a U.S.-based provider of custom LED display solutions. iWeiss is an AV integrator and artifact rigging specialist.

The sculpture, called "Word Cloud," will hang 45 feet above the building's main lobby, according to a press release.

The display consists of custom triangular LED cabinets, each with mirrored finishes and ultra-fine 1.9mm pixel pitch tiles—designed to display dynamic, user-generated content based on real-time visitor interaction.

"This was one of the most technically ambitious builds I've managed at PixelFlex," Isaiah Snyder, project manager for the LED installation, said in the release. "From cable routing within the structure to the fin-by-fin pixel orientation and mapping, every step demanded precise coordination and execution, especially in a heritage building where load and visibility requirements added layers of complexity."

The partners navigated structural constraints while maintaining aesthetic integrity and content fluidity.

"One of our biggest challenges was balancing the structure's strength and weight to meet historical load limitations," Russ Dusek, project manager at iWeiss, said in the release. "Working with PixelFLEX made it possible to achieve both visual impact and structural safety. Their team's knowledge of direct-view LED and their attention to detail were critical to this project's success."
