Philips launches AR app for virtual signage

Philips Professional Display Solutions recently unveiled its Augmented Reality Configurator app, which allows end users to get an idea of how its PDS signage displays would look on any wall. The app measures a selected space and gives customers feedback on what display would work best for that area, according to a press release.
The solution can also virtually fill the space with multiple screens, which users can move around into a virtual video wall.
"Innovation is at the heart of Philips' brand identity, so finding a way to use emerging technology like AR to make our customers' lives easier is always a priority for us," Joseph King, senior director, commercial displays, North America, Philips, said in the release. "We want each and every customer to find the display solution that fits their unique needs and workspace on the first try and with the ARC app they can do just that."
