Philips delivers PeopleCount digital signage to Finnish restaurant

ClaudePhilips Professional Display Solutions recently deployed its PeopleCount digital signage solution to Apteekkari, a three-story bar and restaurant in Kuopio, Finland. The bar selected Philip's solution to help maintain social distancing and monitor capacity, according to a press release.
Apteekkari worked with integrator Avek Esitysratkaisut Oy to deploy two 32-inch D-line displays with a Bosch FLEXIDOME IP Micro 30001 IH intelligent camera and Philip's PeopleCount App in the rooftop terrace and in the rooftop's indoor bar area. This solution counts the number of people entering and exiting and gives a green or red light if it is safe to enter.
"Before PeopleCount there was no other viable choice, which is a testament to Philips Professional Display Solutions' foresight and ability to respond to market conditions," Jari Poykio, sales manager at Avek, said in the release. "After testing PeopleCount, we had no hesitation in recommending it to our client."
