The Philadelphia Convention Center Authority board is calling for the installation of digital signage above the Center's grand entrance facing North Broad Street, according to Philly.com.
The high-ceilinged grand entrance to the expanded Convention Center debuted in 2011, and almost two years later is still without signage of any kind to show that the building is the Convention Center.
Jack Ferguson, president and CEO of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, said in the article that "[d]igital signage can be very impactful and informative when designed well ... It can enhance a neighborhood and provide much-needed promotion of the events in the center, which is a great selling tool, especially for shows looking to get a message across."
