Protective Enclosures Company, American manufacturer of weatherproof TV cabinets, outdoor digital display enclosures and digital signage enclosures, announced that PGA of America recently selected The TV Shield for use at a country club restaurant in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Designed to be suitable for a variety of purposes, the company said its weatherproof digital monitor cabinets are becoming popular in golf communities across the country. Some of the most common golf-related applications for PEC's outdoor digital display cases include outdoor digital signage, weatherproof safety monitors and weatherproof LED TV enclosures for guest entertainment, the company said.

Golf courses are using  outdoor digital signs to stream news, announcements, schedules, pricing and ads, and not only golf clubs are able to stream content relative to their business, partners and associations, weatherproof digital signage also provides an opportunity for added income via third-party advertisement sales, the company said.

Some country clubs are utilizing Protective Enclosures Company's outdoor LCD TV cases for safety purposes, the company said. For instance, golf venues are using cameras set up to view down fairways and transmitting the views they capture live on a TV or digital signage display (protected by a The TV Shield or The Display Shield) to enable players to see when it is safe to hit.

PEC said its water-resistant display protection solutions be found in golfing establishments, but also in 6,500-plus residential and commercial locations internationally.

"PEC is ecstatic to see the success of The TV Shield and The Display Shield in the golf world," said Justin King, CEO at PEC, in the announcement. "We attribute this to the affordability of our quality products and outstanding BBB A+ rated customer service."
