Digital signage solutions provider Peerless-AV will be exhibiting weatherproof and washer-proof digital signage at the 2014 Annual Association of Zoos and Aquariums Conference in Orlando, Florida, this week, the company announced.
The company will be showcasing its Xtreme Displays featuring patented weatherproof technology and capable of year-round outdoor digital signage. The company says the flat panel displays are 100-percent sealed and engineered to handle "the outside elements in all seasons, including harsh environments with unannounced weather conditions ... and even pressure washing."
"Based on their environments, zoos and aquariums have very specific needs when it comes to signage," said Jack McKeague, GM and VP of sales for the Peerless-AV display division, in the announcement. "Going the route of digital signage, our Xtreme displays offer a solution that can be easily updated, can handle extreme weather conditions, and can provide the necessary information to patrons, all while not distracting from the animals and their habitats."
In addition to exhibiting at the conference, Peerless-AV has donated a 42-inch Xtreme TV to the AZA Conservation Grants Fund Silent Auction, which will be taking place in the exhibit hall. All proceeds of the fund help support the initiatives created by the AZA and the AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums. More than $45,000 has been raised between the last three conferences.
Peerless-AV's Xtreme Displays will be on display at Booth 215 at the annual AZA Conference Sept. 15 and 16.
