Partnership provides new high-performance, turnkey video wall controller solutions

July 20, 2016

Matrox Graphics Inc, a manufacturer of ASICs, boards, appliances and software, has announced a new collaboration with PanoTek, an AV systems OEM based in Melbourne, Australia, according to a press release from Matrox.

The partnership is intended to provide a new series of high-performance, turnkey video wall controller solutions to AV and systems integrators in the Asia-Pacific region, according to the announcement.

With a product portfolio of video wall and pixel distribution systems for projects of varying sizes, the partnership simplifies integration efforts and provides Matrox customers with access to local service and expertise, the company said.

PanoTek controllers are offered in a range of scalable configurations and are suited for a variety of markets, including digital signage, boardroom, operations/process control, and security and surveillance. Designed for enterprise and 24/7 operation, PanoTek systems have been commissioned on a number of high-profile projects in sectors such as transportation, health care, utilities and defense, the release said.

"PanoTek's state-of-the-art video wall controllers offer numerous features that were previously only available as luxuries in this market space," said Mark Bush, ANZ regional sales manager for Matrox Graphics Inc. "Deploying a video wall solution shouldn't be overly complicated or overly expensive, and that's where PanoTek comes in. They take all the guesswork out of the process — offering a centralized and specialized source for hardware, software, service and support — allowing you to integrate a turnkey solution at your customer site with ease."

The PanoTek video wall controller has the following features:

  • video walls with advanced video processing and networking capabilities;
  • full HD and 4K/UHD resolution support;
  • multi-channel 4K video capture;
  • multi-stream IP encode and decode capability; and
  • a versatile multi-platform and multi-user wall control via network.

"We have been working hard to develop a range of solutions for advanced display wall control and collaboration, and have received excellent feedback from integrators about the functionality, performance, and value of our systems thus far," said Milton Taylor, managing director of PanoTek. "Continuing to expand our AV partner base is the next logical step in furthering our service of the APAC market, and we invite integrators to contact us for more information about this opportunity."
