Panopto, Shuttle Computer Group launch video capture appliance

Panopto, a video platform provider and Shuttle Computer Group, a small-form-factor computer designer, have launched the Shuttle XH110G Remote Recorder for capturing, streaming and publishing lectures and presentations. The recorder publishes all videos to Panopto's video content management system for playback on any device, such as digital signage, according to a press release.

The device comes with an Intel Core i7 CPU and a Magewell Pro dual HDMI capture card, to allow users to record and broadcast two feeds of HD video. Other features include:

• Integrated with Panopto Cloud or on-premises Panopto server.
• Admins can configure and control remotely through browser, iOS or Android.
• Smart Search technology indexes content to allow users to search for words spoken in the video or shown on screen.

"As organizational use of video continues to skyrocket, it's imperative for video platforms to adapt to the needs of each classroom, conference room, or auditorium," Sean Gorman, COO of Panopto, said in the release.
