MINNEAPOLIS — Wireless Ronin Technologies, a Minneapolis-based digital signage provider, announced that home furnishings retailer Gabberts and the Overseas Military Sales Group (OMSG) implemented the RoninCast digital signage software as a tool to improve the shopping experience.
"Our clients are realizing the benefits of our RoninCast software by implementing the technology as an interactive sales tool. That is what makes our work with Gabberts and OMSG particularly noteworthy," said Jeffrey Mack, president and chief executive of Wireless Ronin Technologies. "RoninCast provides sales training, product selection and sales assistance on one, interactive platform with the singular goal of providing the customer with a better shopping experience."
Gabberts, a Minneapolis-based fine furnishings retailer and Design Studio, has incorporated RoninCast digital signage software in their new showroom opening on February 16, 2007. RoninCast touchscreens will be used in the Gabberts Inspiration Center to help customers visualize home furnishing options in collaboration with their Gabberts professional. This technology allows interior designers and consultants to better understand the desires of their clients and enhance the sales process.
The Overseas Military Sales Group, which sells vehicles to military personnel stationed overseas, has also added digital signage to its sales process on U.S. Navy ships and military bases. Their interactive kiosks, driven by RoninCast, work as living catalogs with which users can navigate without assistance to select the makes, models and options for their cars or motorcycles. The kiosks record their preferences and contact information, which is retrieved by OMSG and used in their follow-up communication.
