Olea Sensor Networks, an intelligent sensor provider, has launched its OleaVision platform for internet-of-things, which detects animate and inanimate figures. This platform specifically uses a FMCW 24 GHZ radar sensor and machine learning algorithms to detect life, according to a press release.
The device can detect people or animals at up to a 10-meter range in both indoor and outdoor environments. It can also communicate wirelessly via Bluetooth to tablet, mobile phone or PC.
"A key aspect of this technology is its ability to detect patterns using advanced algorithms that extract the key attributes or features of the signals to produce the relevant statistical data for accurate detection of life forms generated from people and animals' Frank Morese, CEO/CTO of Olea Sensor Networks, said in the release.
