NYC subways to provide real-time train arrival information on kiosks

The New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority has partnered with Intersection to integrate informational digital signage on its On-the-Go interactive kiosks in the NYC subway. These kiosks will provide travelers with real-time train arrival information, according to an email announcement.

MTA has launched this Time-and-Place service across the Intersection On-the-Go network in 42 stations across New York City. TAP aggregates MTA train and bus arrival data from 10 sources to provide an accurate feed to travelers using the kiosk.

The platform is also integrated with MTA's countdown clock pilot to give customers live updates on train arrival times. If real-time arrival data is not available, the kiosk will display the average time of arrival, according to the release.
