No one likes having a flight canceled, but it's generally preferable to get the bad news before leaving your hotel. A new digital information board from Noventri provides that option.
The company's new Eco-Flight board provides dynamic flight information detailing updated departure times, delays and cancellations, according to a news release, without any interaction with users or viewers.
The board is not PC-based. Instead, it's made up of an HD flat-screen monitor with Noventri's Eco-Series SF-200 digital signage player mounted to the back. An Internet connection is all that's necessary to provide the updates.
Options include the opportunity to brand the boards to reflect the look and feel of a hotel, a weather information stream and an in-room channel that lets guest check flight status from their rooms.
"Having flight information at their fingertips for hotel guests provides a great opportunity for hotels," Noventri President David Linetsky said in the release. "This allows guests to reschedule flights and wait out delays without leaving the hotel."
