While Atlanta Falcons' new football stadium isn't scheduled to open until the start of the 2017 NFL professional football season, digital signage is helping the team get ahead of the game.
The team is already bringing the stadium to life with an immersive "sensory surround" curved LED display installation, according to an announcement today from manufacturer andmarketer of indoor LED displays, Nanolumens.
The curved display was created by Nanolumens and enterprise full-service digital media firm ICG, the announcement said, and it features a 303-inch long elliptical LED NanoCurve display that features a 5mm pixel pitch and measures 219-inches wide and 42-5/8-inches tall.
"The new $1.2 billion multipurpose stadium will be a state-of-the-art, iconic sports and entertainment complex designed to attract world-class sports, civic, cultural and commercial events, and serve as a landmark for the city of Atlanta," NanoLumens Director of Business Development Nate Remmes said in the announcement.
ICG installed a halo-shaped LED in a prefabricated environment, then outfitted the solution with their brdKstr live event controller. ICG also designed and created 3D animations to finalize the digital signage installation.
