NEC wins 'gold' status for corporate social responsibility

NEC Corp. has earned a "Gold" Corporate Social Responsibility rating from EcoVadis, an organization focused on supplier sustainability. NEC has held this rating since 2012, according to a press release.

EcoVadis analyzes companies based on environmental impact and labor, fair business and sustainable practices. This year, NEC won high ratings for environment and labor practices.

NEC plans to continue to use information and communication technologies to "solve challenging social issues," according to the release.
