NEC releases two desktop monitors with ultra-narrow bezels

NEC Display Solutions has launched two desktop monitors: the 22-inch MultiSync E221N-BK, and the 24-inch MultiSync E241N-BK. The monitors feature IPS panels and ultra-narrow bezels on three sides, according to a press release.

The displays are designed for doctors' offices, library kiosks or general desktop use. The units feature:

• LED backlighting with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1920 x 1080 resolution;
• 25,000:1 dyanmic contrast ration;
• VGA, DVI-D and DisplayPort;
• Compliance with Energy Star 7.0 and TCO 7.0 standards;
• Ergonomic stand with 110-mm height adjust, tilt, swivel and pivoting; and
• Ambient light sensor to adjust brightness based on the environment.

"The E-Series is designed for anyone who needs advanced features like IPS panels, ultra-narrow bezels and the included thin client mounts at a lower price point," Art Marshall, senior product manager for desktop displays, NEC, said in the release. "The E221N-BK and E241N-BK are easy to use, functional in a variety of applications, and deliver on value."
