NEC launches UHD projectors

NEC Display Solutions has launched four LCD installation projectors that are designed to provide UHD Blue-ray and 4K. The projectors range from 6,500 lumens to 9,000 lumens, according to a press release.

The NP-PA634U and NP-PA803U projectors come with WUXGA resolution, while the NP-PA853W and NP-PA903X come with WXGA and XGA resolutions, respectively. The projectors are designed with NEC's Scaler Chip picture processor, which handles 4K/60p input and shares signal output with daisy-chained connected projectors. The chip also offers full 10-bit color processing, image noise reduction and de-interlacing.

The projectors come with a number of other features, including:

  • Improved picture sharpness with Sweetvision engine;
  • 10,000:1 contrast ratios;
  • 5,000 hour lamp life and 10,000 hour filter run time;
  • HDBaseT input;
  • Lenses with larger zoom ranges; and
  • Supports content sharing from multiple computers.
