NEC intros projector with HLD LED light source

NEC Display Solutions of America has unveiled an ultra short throw projector the UM383WL. The projector uses HLD LED technology as a light source to deliver better brightness, color accuracy and image vibrancy, according to a press release.

The devices features include:

• WXGA resolution and 3,800 lumens of brightness.
• 20,000 hour light source life.
• Instant-off and quick start up.
• Wired networking.
• Optical zoom and lens shift.

"We set out to create a projector that would provide the low maintenance, flexible solution that our customers require without compromising the stunning image quality that we promise in all of our products," Ryan Pitterle, product manager, said in the release. "The UM383WL projector fulfills both of these requirements, and will be an asset to presenters and educators."

The projector comes as a standalone unit or bundled with NEC's NP06WK1 wall mount for $1,849 and $1,949 respectively.
