NEC intros 9,500-lumen projector

NEC Display Solutions of America Inc. has introduced its NC1402L laser projector. This 9,500-lumen projector offers a 50,000 hour lifespan and sealed optical engine technology for a dust-free enclosure, according to a press release.

The projector comes with an internal liquid cooling system to remove the need for an exhaust and allows it to run at 49 decibels. It is also DCI compliant and can handle 3D content.

"The NC1402L creates an immersive experience reliably and without distraction," Rich McPherson, senior product manager at NEC, said in the release. "Now, theaters can create unsurpassed images that will keep their audiences entertained and coming back."

The projector will be available in May.
