NEC hires VP of quality assurance

NEC Display Solutions of America has appointed Kirk Yanke to serve as VP of quality assurance, service, research and development. Yanke has served for 29 years at NEC, starting as a product development engineer and most recently serving as the senior director of R&D and quality assurance, according to a press release.

As part of his new role, Yanke will help merge NEC's quality assurance and service teams to help deliver more efficient customer service and offer managed services.

"Today's ever-changing global business climate makes it more crucial than ever that we continue delivering reliable products featuring the latest technology," Yanke said in the release. "I look forward to advancing our total display solutions and managed services to differentiate us from the competition and meet the needs of our growing customer base."
