NEC expands LCD laser projector line

NEC Display Solutions of America has added the NP-PA703UL installation projector to its PA series of filter free LCD laser models. The device offers 20,000 hours of performance alongside a 7,000-lumen laser light source with WUXGA resolution, according to a press release.

NEC integrated its Scaler Chip into the projector to allow it to manage a 4K/60P input and share that signal with multiple daisy-chained projectors. Other features include:

• 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio.
• Supports Dual HDMI, DisplayPort with HDCP and HDBaseT with HDCP.
• 360-degree positioning.
• Interchangeable lenses.
• Backed by 5-year/20,000 hour warranty with NEC's InstaCare replacement program included.

"The PA703UL provides a valuable 7,000-lumen option for customers who need the benefits that only our professional-grade PA Series of installation projectors can provide — low-maintenance, sealed optical engines, uniform brightness, and long-life," Richard McPherson, senior product manager of projectors at NEC Display, said in the release. "By eliminating maintenance, customers can focus on creating rich content for their creative, educational and business goals."
