National Press Club installs digital signage system

November 19, 2007

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Press Club in Washington, D.C., has implemented a new Harris Corp. digital signage system to deliver high-quality, dynamic images and video that convey information to its more than 200,000 annual visitors. The digital signage system, located in the Press Club's main entrance lobby, features an LG 60-inch, high-definition plasma screen powered by the Harris InfoCaster creation station software.

The National Press Club is using the InfoCaster creation station to display a wide range of informational images and video, including graphics and details for upcoming events, maps of the facility, scrolling news bars, and video promos for its on-site digital broadcast studio, restaurants and meeting rooms.

"We host a wide variety of visitors at the National Press Club, from members of the press to public relations professionals to leaders from around the world. Our goal was to display important information and advertise events using full-color, dynamic graphics and video," said Bill McCarren, general manager of the National Press Club.
