NanoLumens deploys advertising tower in New Zealand

October 27, 2016

NanoLumens, a digital signage company, recently collaborated with Digital Place Solutions and QMS Media to deploy digital displays called the "Britomart Towers" at the Britomart Transport Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, according to a press release.

NanoLumens built the towers with two 6-milimeter displays that were mounted on elevator shafts on the main stairway exits from the subway, so customers can see them easily.

The displays are 2.7 meters wide and 4.8 meters high, and are designed to provide bright, high resolution images for advertisers, according to the release.

"The 'Britomart Towers' are positioned on either side of the station's main commuter escalators," Stephen Rubie, director of Digital Place Solutions, said in the release. "The sheer size and scale of these landmark displays ensure maximum impact and exposure to the large volumes of foot traffic moving throughout the station and provides visibility from all commuter platforms."

More than 35,000 passengers visit the Britomart station daily, which makes the Britomart Towers ideal for capturing a large audience, according to Wayne Chapman, New Zealand CEO of QMS Media.
