NanoLumens, a display manufacturer, recently gave an Acuity Insurance campus theater a display makeover. The company deployed a 3mm NanoSlim LED display solution for the 2000-seat theater, according to a press release.
The environment was a challenge because the seats in the theater were arranged in a fairly vertical manner and in a 65-foot radius from the stage. NanoLumens deployed a multipanel LED curved display so that everyone could see it.
"People who enter the theater for the first time gasp because it is most unusual to see so many seats arranged in such a vertical manner in a radius that is so close to the stage," Ben Salzmann, CEO and president of Acuity Insurance said in the release.
The NanoLumens' display is a five-sided pentagon, with each side measuring 10 feet high and 6.5 feet wide. The display hangs from the ceiling over the theater's stage and weighs 1,900 pounds. The display's pentagon is 16-feet across and weighs 3,600 pounds, according to the release. Camera Corner Connecting Point installed the display.
"We had a very specific weight limit that we had to stay under when designing the display solution," Scott Tomashek, audio visual systems consultant for Camera Corner, said in the release. "The NanoLumens team demonstrated their value by creating a superior solution that came in under the maximum weight limit."
