MuxLab intros AV over IP extender offering uncompressed 4K video

MuxLab has introduced its AV over IP 4K/60 Uncompressed Extender Fiber. This solution offers 4K video from multiple sources among multiple displays through a 10 GB Ethernet switch, according to a press release.

It supports both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, and its transmitters and receivers can connect to the Ethernet switch via OM4 multimode fiber cable. This allows it to transmit a signal up to 1,300 feet, allowing the equipment to be stored far from the installation. Other features include:

  • Light compression
  • Almost lossless latency
  • Delivers video at 4:4:4
  • Includes a wall-mount bracket kit
  • Supports RS232 and IR for remote control.
  • Supports MuxLab's ProDigital Network Controller for remote configuration and control.

"Building on MuxLab's family of AV over IP Extenders for 4K/60, this new Extender takes a solid concept and fine tunes it for greater industry applicability," Joe Teixeira, director of product management, MuxLab, said in the release. "MuxLab will continue to advance its established IP expertise and expand its offerings to better serve integrators."
