Mt. Vernon School District to test iSign emergency alert system

Mt. Vernon Middle School in Fortville, Indiana, plans to test iSign Media Solutions' Security Alert Messaging for emergencies on March 5. The platform provides alerts for students with digital signage and proximity messaging as well as alerting police, EMT services, fire departments and first responders, according to a press release.

The solution provides both alerts and instructions on how to avoid a threat such as an active shooter. It can be integrated with existing alarms and security measures to improve overall student safety.

The SAM solution can also be used for non-emergency situations such as by pushing out messages and announcements and for fire drills.
