Minnesota United FC upgrades soccer stadium with Daktronics' LED displays
Minnesota United FC, a professional American soccer team, has partnered with Daktronics to deploy LED displays for Allianz Field, a soccer stadium in St. Paul, Minnesota. Daktronics will provide one 23-feet high by 115-feet wide LED display and 10 ribbon displays to boost fan experience, according to a press release.
The main display will feature a 15HD pixel layout to deliver clear images for fans. Daktronics will also integrate content zoning so the stadium can showcase different content on different parts of the screen such as live video, instant replay, animations, advertisements and more.
The company will deploy two 2.5-feet high by 360-feet wide ribbon displays with a 15HD pixel layout along the seating fascias. It will also install eight additional ribbon displays throughout the stadium featuring 16-millimeter line spacing, according to the release. These displays will offer additional statistics, animations and sponsorship messages.
Daktronics is providing its Show Control System for the installation, which combines display control software, video processing, data integration and playback hardware for a complete digital signage experience, according to the release.
