Matrox launch promises full HD over IP for digital signage, video walls

Matrox Graphics will release a new series that extends full HD video quality over standard IP networks for digital signage, collaborative video walls and other applications, the company said.

The Maevex 5100 Series video over IP solution begins shipping this month, and qualified AV/IT resellers and system integrators can see samples upon request.

The line's encoders and decoders will capture, stream and decode video from a variety of sources, the company said, and will allow for software-based decoding on non-Maevex devices.

Maevex units come bundled with PowerStream software, which allows remote management of Maevex devices and enables a variety of user-defined stream-management features, including adjustable low bit-rate encoding for minimal and cost-effective bandwidth consumption.
