Autostereoscopic 3D digital signage provider Magnetic 3D has launched its new Wildfire3D display line, which "boasts a nearly seamless viewing experience from anywhere in the room," according to a company announcement.
Wildfire3D's multiview autostereoscopic technology and its new LCD hardware contains a circuit board that automatically converts glasses-based stereo (side-by-side) content into the autostereoscopic E3D (glasses-free 3D) format in real-time, enabling a massive library of existing 3D content to be seen without glasses, the company said. This technology also simplifies the autostereoscopic content creation process, allowing classic 3D content creators to convert to glasses-free 3D.
Wildfire3D has been used in medical and military applications and was just unveiled by the New York Stereoscopic Association at the Holocenter on Governor's Island, according to the announcement.
