Luxury furniture company Weylandts intros digital signage to enhance shopping experience

Weylandts, a South African luxury furniture retailer, has teamed up with Moving Tactics to upgrade its stores with digital signage and audio. Moving Tactics has deployed a 55-inch touchscreen and an in-store audio system in eight of its retail showrooms in South Africa, according to a press release.

Customers can use the touchscreen to examine all of Weylandts' products and see their individual specifications. The in-store audio system plays music selected by Weylandt to create a good ambience for customers. The retailers switches out the music monthly, according to the release.

"Introducing the touch screens has been an innovative way to communicate with our customers by more interactive means than using standard signage; and the audio solution has given us the ease of updating our very unique music playlists, across all stores, in an instance," Tim Culley, head of marketing and merchandizing at Weylandts, said in the release.
