Logic Supply adds ASRock motherboards for industrial, embedded applications

Logic Supply, which provides computer systems for industrial and embedded applications, has added ASRock industrial PC motherboards to its product line.

According to a news release, ASRock released the IPC line of motherboards, which are targeted at industrial applications, in 2011, but they have not been widely available in the United States nor offered online with transparent pricing. Logic Supply will be the first to do so, the release said.

"Logic Supply is a trusted and experienced provider of IPC solutions in the United States, Latin American and European markets," Michael Chen, ASRock associate vice president and head of its IPC Business Unit, said in the release. "Collaborating with them will allow ASRock to continue our expansion into the IPC market."

Logic Supply will carry three of the line's most prominent boards, which will be incorporated into its lineup of industrial PCs:

• IMB-170, powered by an Intel Core i Ivy Bridge CPU, has an extended lifecycle and is suited for multimedia- and processor-intensive applications such as digital signage, surveillance and multi-display gaming
• IMB-110D, powered by an Intel Atom D525 CPU, is an energy-efficient board with several I/O expansion options, and is suited for point-of-sale, kiosks or industrial automation
• IMB-147D, powered by an Intel Atom D2550 CPU, has several I/O options and is meant for embedded applications, particularly industrial control

"ASRock is an industry leader with a phenomenal reputation," Logic Supply product manager JP Ishaq said. "I have no doubt that merging their talents in motherboard development with ours in chassis engineering and system integration will prove mutually beneficial."
