LG Electronics, iGotcha Media to display VR stress management solution
LG Electronics Canada Inc. and iGotcha Media plan to exhibit the WellVR stress management application at the DX3 show in Toronto, March 6 and 7. The solution uses three LG 65 OLED displays, a HTC Vive virtual reality headset and a Muse "brain sensing" headband, according to a press release.
The headset transports the user to a relaxing vacation on the beach, while the headband detects relaxation and triggers a sunset image to increase the sensation, the release said.
"We developed the stress management application to illustrate our proven ability to integrate diverse technologies, including LG’s impressive OLED monitors, and create tailor-made applications," iGotcha Media President Greg Adelstein said in the release. "We wish to show the market that we possess technical expertise and creative originality. The stress management application is also expected to provide a novel 'icebreaker' at DX3 — an alluring and fun way to get people into our booth and the opportunity for our team to explain what we do and how we can help."
