Education technology producer LG Business Solutions USA has unveiled its 2022 interactive displays, rebranded as LG CreateBoard, and added peripheral products such as mounts, mobile carts and a Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) system, according to a company press release.
"LG is helping improve modern education through new technologies that support flexible learning environments, enhance educator capabilities, enable more engaging lessons for students and provide maximum utility through open-source compatibility with leading software platforms," Victoria Sanville, education account leader at LG Business Solutions USA, said in a press release. "Addressing a variety of needs for in-person, remote and blended learning, our purpose-built solutions help educators meet students where they are and develop more customized lessons as educational institutions increasingly embrace personalized learning."
LG is supporting schools across the U.S. with the Life's Good: Experience Happiness program, which equips youth with mental health skills to better cope with stress and anxiety, build resilience and support a life-long happiness mindset, according to the release. This initiative has reached more than four million students with science-based curriculum teaching happiness skills.
Available in 65, 75 and 86-inch models, the LG CreateBoard helps students see what the teacher is presenting and supports learning management systems, cloud drives and online conferencing platforms to facilitate in-person or hybrid/remote learning.
"These new solutions work with virtually any software, making them ideal replacements for the last-generation technology," Sanville said in the release. "What's more, LG's full breadth of products can empower districts to find creative uses for underutilized spaces and develop multi-purpose rooms that can adapt to a variety of needs throughout the school day."
The LG CreateBoard series comes embedded with the Android operating system and an optional OPS slot for adding a computer module. The displays are designed to support content management systems, learning platforms or online conferencing solutions in-class and remotely.
Each LG CreateBoard interactive display is WiFi-enabled for easy connectivity out of the box. When teachers and students join the same network, these displays allow for collaboration with built-in ScreenShare Pro and Air Class software.
LG CreateBoard displays include two built-in front-facing speakers for delivering audio content, while embedded Bluetooth allows users to connect wireless peripherals such as external speakers, keyboards, mice and more.
