'Let me take a selfie' with digital signage

August 29, 2016

CrownTV, a New York-based signage company, has launched a Selfie Station and tablet. The station is designed to get exposure and leads for businesses, according to a press release.

The Selfie Station was designed with CrownTV's player and software and can be touchscreen-enabled. Customers can use the station to take a single or group selfie, apply a filter and share on Twitter or Facebook. If a printer is available, users can also print photos of their selfies.

Each selfie will have the date, time, a tagline, the sponsored company’s logo or the name and logo of an event. When users share the selfie on social media, the company or event gets free exposure.

If a user chooses to have the selfie emailed to him or her, the company can acquire email addresses to build their mailing lists and send out promotional materials, according to the release.

For a smaller solution, companies can use the Selfie Station app on CrownTV's tablet. The tablet is designed to be an all-in-one digital signage solution with built-in dashboard and content control, according to the press release.
