GoVision, a provider of large-scale LED video displays and related services, has opened a new office and equipment facility in Las Vegas, its fifth such location, according to a company press release.
The facility will house a large amount of GoVision's modular and mobile LED inventory, as well as both sales and technical/operations staff. It will also be used to better serve Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado and Nevada.
The office will be led by Joe Danczak, who has joined GoVision as an account executive. He has more than 25 years of experience in the hotel, event and audio-visual industry, most recently with Encore Event Technologies and AVT Event Technologies.
"Vegas is the next logical destination for our expansion, as we work to be within a day's drive of every one of our U.S.-based clients, and Joe is the perfect guy to head up our business there," said Scott McKinnon, partner and VP of sales and marketing for Argyle, Texas-based GoVision. "With more than a quarter of our business coming within a 30-day window — from the initial call to execution — it's important for us to rapidly deploy the right gear to event sites when it's needed."
McKinnon also noted that Las Vegas is a major market itself, with thousands of both indoor and outdoor events and shows every year.
"Having our team and equipment at the ready in Las Vegas should not only position us to earn more local work but help smooth out some of the seasonality in our business," McKinnon said.
