I'm honored to be taking on a newly formed role and look forward to helping media owners continue to expand their businesses and prepare for the future."
B-Tech AV Mounts, a U.K.-based global AV mounting solutions firm, has announced that Matt Bennett has stepped down after 15 years as CEO and will be replaced by Dick van Baarlen, according to a press release.
Starting at the company, a family business, in 1998, Bennett's tenure included a focus on growing its export operations and international growth, including living in Hong Kong from 2002-2008 while establishing manufacturing operations and an Asia Pacific supply chain for the company. Bennett became owner and CEO in 2008, establishing the company's ethos of "local service on a global scale."
Van Baarlen, whose previous experience includes serving as CEO of Global Mounts Group, a partnership between Neomounts and B-Tech AV Mounts formed in 2022, in which each brand operates as an independent brand while cooperating closely together, with an aim to provide a "one stop shop" for AV and IT mounting solutions.
"Taking on Matt's duties as B-Tech's CEO, I am confident in further developing B-Tech's position as a true international market leader of pro-AV mounting solutions," van Baarlen said in the release. "Within the Global Mounts Group, B-Tech continues to serve the pro AV market according to the existing channel and product assortment strategies, and will keep offering the best dedicated support to our distribution, reseller and integrator partners worldwide."
